A Visit With Jeff Soto

Flat Files - I need some.

Continuing our adventure in the IE on a hot afternoon in Riverside, me and Carlos left Brian Viveros’ house and headed over to Jeff Soto’s (interviewed) new studio. He had just moved into the building with some other creatives like childhood friend Maxx242 and hadn’t completely settled down but showed us around anyways. Jeff told us he will will be going to France for some shows and other projects and we took a look at some of his recent paintings – love the colors and concepts.

Some more photos of the work and studio from me and some from Carlos (you can see more of his better pics on our official studio visit article here) after the jump…

Jeff has been painting a lot of Owls recently. These are for a show in France.

Another owl in the set of work going to Lyon. This one is chilling in the middle of a Raincross - the symbol seen throughout the Riverside area.

Another owl in the Eddie Vedder live painted piece he did with Maxx242 and Munk One at a recent concert.

Weightlifting break to strengthen the painting hand.

Still moving in but this is Jeff's area in a huge room.

Hand painted toy.

Pretty sweet melty creature. Love the colors.

Thanks for having us by. See you when you come back from France.
